Witness List Announced for Hearing on Chewing Tobacco
April 12, 2010 "Smokeless Tobacco: Impact on the Health of our Nation′s Youth and Use in Major League Baseball" Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. announced on Monday the list of witnesses for the congressional hearing on the use of chewing tobacco by young people, the health problems it causes and the influence of professional baseball players who chew tobacco. The Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce′s Health Subcommittee, Congressman Pallone said he wants to hear from the witnesses about their experiences and opinions on the use of chewing tobacco by baseball players and by young people and about the factors that contribute to their usage. The subcommittee hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 14th, in Room 2123, Rayburn House Office Building. The witnesses:
